Half hidden at the end of a grassy track, our delightful holiday cottage (sleeps 2 + cot) with its pretty garden is in the peaceful southern Burgundy village of Bissy sous Uxelles.

• There are beautiful views from all rooms over open fields to the hills beyond.
• Kitchen/living room with large open fireplace (logs provided in winter), easy chairs, dining table and fully equipped kitchen area.
• Stairs to bedroom with double bed and space for cot.
• Bathroom with bath and shower.
• Separate toilet.
• All linen provided.
• Sorry, no pets allowed and no smoking.

Prices:

300€/week, including electricity, towels, linen etc. (Saturday to Saturday or by arrangement out of season).

 

 

The village:

Bissy sous Uxelles is a peaceful village set in pretty countryside, edged with vineyards and just down the road from Chapaize, which boasts one of the best known examples of romanesque churches in the region. It is 17km (20 minutes) from the A6 motorway at Tournus.

Two baker’s, various other small shops and a stunning château are 4 km away in Cormatin. More shops, including a supermarket, are to be found 7 km away in St Gengoux le National, a busy little medieval town. There are several restaurants and cafés in the immediate area.
